Sing to Me, a poem from, Poetry Volume One, by Rose Mary Johnson, U.S. Copyright
Softly echoed among my widowed tears,
I lie awake.
Darkness hollowed for the star's sake.
My thoughts they drift into my mind's haze.
And, I become lost in a complicated maze.
I rush and fall into my fears.
Now it's too late for my widowed tears.
Come sing to me - a melody.
Ease the pain.
Escape this lonely shame.
Raise a note.
Give me hope.
Come sing to me - my heart once glee.
Vibrations chase my widowed tears.
And, they dance in my blood gracing my fears.
The ceiling bows to the heavens longing to be met.
My heart swells with another passing minute's threat.
And with a silent plea...
unto my heart's lead.
Come sing to me - a melody.
Ease the pain.
Escape this lonely shame.
Raise a note.
Give me hope.
Come sing to me - my heart once glee.
